Jackson Hole, Wyoming & a HIKE?! :)

Very long time since my last blog. I have been super busy with numerous random things :) as usual. The most recent area of interest in our lives was a trip we took to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Bucky's entire family went!
We went to Jenny Lake, saw tons of wildlife, rode the new arial tram, and buck and I decided to climb to the top of Rendevous Mountain.....needless to say it was a very HARD hike. Something harder than expected. The second day we were there we hiked at Jenny Lake to the falls and inspiration point. This was only a 2 mile hike but easy enough to make you think you could go much further & that hiking is a breeze....hiking is not a breeze!
Next hike must be Rendevous Mountain....Great IDEA BRITNI!!!!It was 7.2 miles. I convinced buck we have to do this hike. No way we can go to Wyoming and not accomplish this ...Right???
***So 3 miles in we decided to only hike to the 5 mile mark and take the tram there back down the mountain. Once we decided to take that one back down we began to take our time.... ....when we arrived to this spot...the tram was closed for the day. Once we realized we HAD to make it all the way to the top (7.2 miles) we only had 1.5hrs to get it done before the final tram for the day headed back down.....sooooooo 3 throw-ups later, a borrowed bottle of water and granola bar, and bucky's encouragement ....I made it to the top. It was fairly easy for Bucky! I really think it was the hardest physical accomplishment of my life!!! But we made it with ONLY 8 minutes to spare!!! I was never so thankful to see an arial tram & I am quite scared of them!!!! Here are a few pics to see!!!

Me & Buck in Puerto Rico (Taken by our new friend Eaves!!!)

For our one year anniversary, Bucky & I got to take a trip to Puerto Rico! It started off rocky when we parked on the wrong side of the Atlanta Airport, then the airline lost our bags & we gave them the wrong place to deliver them. After we got all that sorted out....We had such a fun time! It was overcast most of the time but we managed to find many interesting things to do. We played golf, drove the golf cart around, visited their casino and ate so much!!! One of the most exciting parts of the trip was making a wonderful new friend. His name is YVES a.k.a Frenchy! Obviously from France! He taught us so much while we were there and we think of something he said almost every day. We learned about wine, food, & blackjack! One of our favorite phrases now is "blackjack en la mesa!!" We were very blessed to have made such a great friend. It turned out he was from the same town our friend Neimkin had went to visit in france last year then we even ran into some people who went to Birmingham Southern with us while we were there. Crazy small world I guess! Overall a very exciting trip.

Just a drive & a new phone!

So I finally upgraded to a new phone! Buck and I went for a drive yesterday & I wanted to check out the camera....it really is pretty good. 2.0 mega pix....Since we never have many pics i decided to post these from our drive! We love driving around in the afternoons!!!

Erla's Moonlight Ball

My sister-in-law, Erla, had a Moonlight Ball this past weekend. I had the pleasure of doing her hair and makeup. We had so much fun preparing for the Ball and I even got to attend to watch the lead out. She was truly beautiful as always. Here is a pic to enjoy!

Whitney's Wedding!

I had the pleasure of being in one of my oldest and best friend's weddings last Saturday. Whitney was absolutely beautiful and so was the entire wedding and day! Whitney and Mark got married at Hickory Ridge Lodge in Andalusia. All of my friends from high school were there and I had such a wonderful time. Here are a few pics to enjoy!

Mtn. Brook Named 10th in Metro Rankings

Despite pre-season expectations and rankings, the Mountain Brook Spartans are outshining their competition. Most had them ranked last in the area in pre-season poles but now they are ranked 10th in Metro rankings. The spartans have had an exciting season and hopefully it will continue! The spartans are 18-10, competed for the area championship, and will compete in the sub-region match up against Thompson on Friday. The game will be at Thompson High School at 7pm. If your in the Birmingham area this is definitely not something you want to miss! Mtn.Brook plays an uptempo style of basketball and Thompson has some raging fans! Hopefully we will win and get to advance to the Regional Tournament in Jacksonville!!!!! GOOD LUCK BUCKY! I'm so proud of you ;)

Then we all got to go to Tuscon, AZ for the Mrs. America competition where I was named 2nd alternate! This week was so much fun. My family and bucky's family was there to support me. I am blessed to have such a wonderful family. :)

Since I am just begining to blog. I am going to do a summary of the past 7months. Bucky and I got married May 24, 2008. This is one of the pictures from our wedding. This was the happiest day of my life. I am now a McMillan!!!
